エレベーターの積載量はどうなっている？

女性5人が乗って、定員5人のエレベーターでブザーが鳴るときまづいだろう。
私はそんな経験をしたことなどないが、実際にそういうことがあったという。

逆に、定員5人でも7人乗っても全然大丈夫だったことはある。
多少の定員オーバーなどはたいして問題ではないし、問題なのは
定員ではなく積載量が問題になってくるのだから当たり前のはなし。

では、どうやってその積載量を決めているのかというと、ひとり頭65キロの
計算で行なわれているようだ。
なぜ65キロ？？
男では65キロならばわかるような気もする。
これは自分がちょうど65キロだからかもしれない。ただ、平均的な成年男性の
体重と考えても無理な数字ではない。

だが、女性の場合は65キロを平均とするには少し無理がある。
この辺り、女性の分は少しゆとりを持たせておけば男女比が仮に5対5とすれば
定員がオーバーしなければほぼ積載量はセーフティー。

ある程度余裕を持って作っておくのは当然だから、この考えはよくわかる。
でも、男が全員であればこの理論はもろくも崩れ去り、世の男性は年をとれば
とるほど脂肪がたまりやすくなり、体重も増えていくのだから平均を65キロと
とるのがやはり難しいような気もする。

エレベーターの定員を決めるのは、「建築基準法施工例第129条の５」と「ＪＩＳ規格」によるそうで、両方の基準をクリアしなければならないのだそうだ。
